About Me

Keely

Keely

I'm a writer, a teacher, and an aspiring wilderness badass. I've been writing here since 2014, when I was a high school math teacher in rural Arkansas, and have used this space to share my adventures in remote parts of Alaska over the years since then. Now, I'm living in a yurt in Fairbanks while I study for an MFA in creative writing, and I plan on heading back into the bush and into the classroom in 2022. I love sled dogs, good food, board games and chainsaws, and I write about all of those things from time to time.
